From humble beginning in my kitchen and 31 colours to offer, ‘Cottage Garden Threads’ now has 100 colours in three thread ranges and introducing new products all the time.
Thankyou for showing interest in my range of threads. My name is Pam Spurway and I am the owner, dyer and passionate creator of Cottage Garden Threads. Cottage Garden Threads has been going for 12 months and growing continually in popularity and demand.
Now for the facts: Threads with the wrong treatment can bleed their colour but I am proud to produce 97 – 100% colour fastness due to the time and effort I put into the preparation and process of dying. From batch to batch there may be slight variations as with all hand dyed fibers but as I am the sole dyer, I manage to control extreme differences.
I design Cottage Garden Threads with a short colour length of 2 to 3 inches especially for embroidery to enable a good variation of colour in smaller lengths of stitching. The variegated colour sequences are inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds me every day, living in rural Australia.
The range is constantly growing as interest increases. Specialty dying of thread colours is also available upon consultation of designers requiring a specific thread colour combination or style.
Being a small business owner myself, I understand the difficulties in competing with the larger chain stores and companies and so to offer my support, my intention is to exclusively stock smaller shops and designers.
Attending shows and events is a great way to get to know shop owners, designers and CGT customers. I could be coming to your city and I'd love to meet you.
Happy Stitching,
Pam
